Yesterday, I had a panic attack! A friend of us came with is horse trailer to unload cupple of things and shut the door. Me I was'nt there, I was in the barn and suppose my dog was with my boyfriend.
My friend leaves and my boyfriend get in the house. 2 hours later, I came in the house and get a shower. I have'nt even take a look on the bed of my Kahlua. But just before going to MY bed, I found NO DOG! So I asked my BFriend, have you let the dog out during I was in the shower, and he said, no, I have'nt event get her in...?!?!. So I put my snikers on and a jacket to call and whisle her...nothing. Go in my car and drive carefully, to see where she was(She've never ran away before)...so I was....my god...sooooo anxious, my street is more a kinda numbered road! Lots of fast car and Monster truck.

So, ni sign of her. Then I went back at home and said to my b-friend, call Pascal(our friend) and ask if she is in the trailer..... belive what....two hours an a half long She was in...

ohhhh my god I was happy!

This was my little stowaway story of the day!

OMG That's So funny...But you poor poor women just the same!!!!

I had that happen to me about four years ago, we were living in another house. It had a door that went into the garage from the back yard. Well four years ago Jaz (DDB) who was a jumping fool disappeared from the back yard....So I assumed that she jumped the fence. Called the local police,ran/drove around the neighborhood freaking out...But more over because Jaz' thinks its her personal duty to take out any adult dog under 20 lbs. I'm basically in deep sh*t with-out a paddle I'm thinking, only to go home and pull into the 2-car garage, and find her sleeping in my grandfather's old t-bird convertable!!! It was about 4 hours and a few grey hairs I will Never get back-

Anyone else have a funny story to share like these???

uummm...not as good as these but...

Few weeks ago, Ira..my black girl...went off the property..like normal exploring. I yelled for her and yelled and said whatever. 20 minutes later we see her pop out of the woods back onto the property with something in her mouth carried proudly. I thought it looked like a large stick..again normal.... So i called and walked to the middle of the property and as i got closer it looked like a Fork shape. HUH? I thought. Kept walking towards her as she lay there having a good time with whatever.
once i was about 10ft from her I saw what it was! It was an ANTLER. haha! 5 point antler at that!
I am quite sure she did not kill the deer but found the antler and decided it was cool enough to bring home.

We thought cool. we will keep this! Wow! My husband sat it on the table on our deck and now its gone.....she stole it back from us and is now on the property somewhere

the end
haha

great story Funzie. also you guys had some awesome stories about letting dogs out of your property and coming back. Unfortunately for me I lost a Jack Russell 4 years ago by getting out of the backyard and getting hit infront of the street. He loved to dig.

I'm sorry to hear that... =( I had a chow who loved to escape some years back...She was hit by a car-And that cured her need to roam-She stayed home till the day she died after that!!
