Hello to all!

i have a male pit-bull, Pete, who is 3 years old. a month ago i got a female neo, Mostra, who is 9 months old....They seem to be ok together and the aggression Mostra showed at the beggining against Peto (just grrr) when food was involved is now disappeared....i would like to keep them together....now that i live in a house with big yard they are out all day and when the sun goes down they come and they sleep inside the house with me...Peto is very well used in a house even without yard....he can wait in the house for me to come back from the job, lying on his bed watching television without touching anything anything...just breathing!!!!Mostra seems to be a great character, a little stuborn, understands easy and is loveble...she obeys but is not very patient....one thing i want to tell you that made me love her more: today, as we often do, went on the beach... she played with peto in the water but when for the first time passed in the deep water and she start going down for secs without trying to swim!!!!...i worried and caught her from the chest up to the surface to let her breath!!!!;-)
oh!i would like to know when ussually comes the first heat for a female neo, anything special on the behaviour of neos i should know and

the most important
i post a video...please tell me if you see sth strange with her hip and if you think she will develop cherry eyes . she is walking and her body goes like an ''S'' and i dont know if this is normal

finally
what would you think if i let Peto and Mostra make a family in a year or so when Mostra will be ready...

by the way i feed them with dry food - Orijen and i would like your opinion on that too!

Hello-And Welcome to Neo Owners!
Your dogs look great, sounds like you have alot of fun with them.
Hard to say with Cherry eye, only time can give that answer.
With your kibble I'm sorry but it is not a brand I know, maybe someone else here will have more experience with that brand name.
Keep taking her swimming, its a great form of exercise for your growing Neo'. Also she will get better with swimming, or she may even swim under water - I've had dogs that actually do!
With breeding I would strongly recommend that if you Absolutely Have to breed your two dogs-Research Research Research!!!
Breeding dogs is not for many, it is Honestly..... not an easy procress---From the tie to the whelping. Then to have to find homes for all of them, and to make sure the homes that you did find will take proper care of these dogs. Also imo before placing any of your crosses FIX THEM. Because there are So many mixed bred dogs who need placement and are put down every day in shelters...
What ever you decide make sure your decision is the most responsible for the animals involved.

i am a little worried for the kibble...its 70% meat and 30% fruits and vegetables....which means is of high protein 40%, low-carbohydrate & grain-free....its quite expensive and i would like to know if i do well for Pete and Mostra or i just spend my money...i use Orijen for Peto for over a year now and i am totally satisfied

i am a civil engineer and so i am used in thinking one issue from all aspects. i will make sure i meat all the requirements, without any exception, or i am not going to breed them...

No....That's a little too high of a protein ratio imo.....Here's a great site that gives helpful info to use for your Neo'

although i have researched a lot on pet food i am still confused. some breeders including, a breeder of neapolitan mastiff here in greece, reccomend raw meat!!i just dont like seeing my dogs eating raw meat and i dont even think about it .Orijen kibbles claims to be close to feeding meat, vegetables and fruits your dog and are biologically appropriate. Raw meat is of high-protein...

the body as fat), once the body’s demand for
protein is met, protein is either metabolized
for energy or removed from the body
through natural functions. Protein is seldom
converted to body fat.
• As high-protein diets are more satiating,

ORIJEN than they would of any
conventional dry pet food --- this last bit i can reassure you Pete is eating not more than 300grs per day and Mostra 500grs per day. i see Pete is good, healthy...he eats as much as he likes and never gets fat.

here in greece pet dry foods of such philosophy (biologically appropriate) is only Origen and ACANA PACIFIC. the difference is one has 70%meat and the other 60%...both are grain free etc...i think i will go for the ACANA PACIFIC which is of lower protein ratio...but will stay in this philosophy
